Capcom has released a new gameplay video for its upcoming action game DmC Devil May Cry, a reboot of the successful Devil May Cry series.

The new footage dubbed ?Home Truths? is really different from the videos released up until now which mostly showcased cutscenes and combat sequences. In the new video we see a comeback of somewhat gothic environments along with some exploration moments which resemble the first game of the series: after the departure of series creator Hideki Kamiya the Devil May Cry series went towards a more action-brawler style way with gameplay more focused on battle enemies rather than exploring the locations and get immersed in the atmosphere. The first Devil May Cry was an hybrid between classic Resident Evil games and action games with small riddles thrown in to break the fighting sequences: a return to the roots would also match Ninja Theory intention of making a game which could rival with Hideki Kamiya?s Platinum Games ones. And by looking at the videos it seems it really may be on par with the best action-adventure games of the current console generation.

DmC will be available on Ps3 and Xbox 360 on January 15 2012 with a Pc version coming at a later date.
